5 Tips For Losing Weight Without Starving Yourself

June 17, 2019 //  by Geoff

Many people would like to lose weight but are hesitant about having to make drastic sacrifices. They think that losing weight means having to cut out all enjoyable foods or resorting to extreme crash diets.

However, losing weight doesn’t need to be hard, especially when there’s help available. But this doesn’t mean it will be easy, some people have an easier time than others. It’s important note that if you’re serious about weight loss you should consult your doctor. Medical weight loss is an option, especially for those struggling to lose weight after attempting different diet and exercise plans. In serious situations where obesity can lead to other health problems your doctor may even discuss weight lose surgery, like gastric sleeve surgery in Newcastle, to help overcome the issue. However, this isn’t for everyone or an easy way out, it’s a serious procedure for those suffering from obesity and struggling to lose excess weight through traditional methods. For others it can be a lot simpler, cutting excess pounds can be a matter of simple math. By taking simple and consistent steps, you can see progress without having to rely on drastic lifestyle changes.

Here are some of the simplest ways to lose weight, which are incredibly effective.

Start a Daily Physical Activity

Losing weight starts with putting just as many calories out as you are putting in. Engaging in an exercise program can make a significant difference in your waistline. If you’re not a gym person, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways to take up a physical activity without having to go anywhere near a set of dumbells.

You can do something as simple as riding your bike to work instead of driving. Cycling has many health benefits. You could also go for a brisk walk during your lunch break, or even work out to a DVD in your living room!

Count Calories

A lot of people are unaware of how many calories they’re consuming. Counting calories helps you stay accountable for everything that you eat throughout the day. Rather than mindlessly grazing, calorie counting helps you realize whether you’re reaching your daily recommended limit or not.

Technology has made it incredibly simple to keep track of your calories through the help of apps. Many calorie counting apps have thousands of foods in their database, making it simple to scan the barcode and enter the calories automatically.

Eliminate Processed Foods

Processed foods are convenient but also packed full of saturated fats and empty calories. In addition to packing extra pounds, they may be linked to cancer.

Consider eliminating processed foods from your diet and committing to a diet full of naturally derived sources. That doesn’t mean you have to live on lettuce and seeds. You can still enjoy cakes, pasta, and even pizza! There is almost always a natural version of whatever your favorite food is!

Drink More Water

Many people mistake thirst for hunger. As a result, they overeat without feeling relief from their hunger. Next time that you feel hunger pains, try drinking a big glass of water and waiting five minutes. You might be surprised to find that you aren’t hungry anymore!

Cut Back On Sugar

Sugar isn’t just found in desserts and sodas. Sugar is hiding in all sorts of things, from juices to sauces! Be aware of how much sugar is in everything that you eat throughout the day. Lowering your sugar intake can make a significant difference in your body’s composition.
